Sustenance: Proper sustenance ensures our body gets the necessary vitamins, minerals, proteins, fats and carbohydrates to function optimally. Balanced sustenance contributes to a healthier lifespan.
Movement: Movement is fundamental to human health and wellbeing. Movement releases endorphins, serotonin and dopamine which are labeled as "feel-good" neurotransmitters. Consistent movement helps alleviate symptoms of depression, anxiety and stress.
Hydration: Hydration is vital for numerous physiological functions and overall health. Nutrients are transported through the bloodstream to cells. It also helps in the elimination of waste products from the body. Proper hydration supports brain health and cognitive performance.
Sunlight: Sunlight helps to regulate the body's internal clock or circadian rhythm which affects sleep patterns, hormone release (like melatonin for sleep) and various physiological processes. Sunlight exposure is associated with elevation in mood, reduce cortisol levels, and enhance the pathogen fighting capabilities of immune cells. Natural light can boost energy levels, increase alertness and enhance productivity.
Moderation: Moderation keeps a person balanced, grounded and in control. It is not about denying yourself every pleasure or living a rigid existence; it is about knowing when to indulge and when to pull back; ensuring that no single impulse derails your wellbeing. It is about mastering the art of enough.
Air: Clean air acts like an invisible partner to primary healthcare, starting with prevention. It is a low-cost preventative tool that complements talk therapy or basic stress-management advice. Clean air means less stress on your cardiovascular system.
Rest: Rest is the cornerstone of health. We advocate strongly that individuals receive adequate rest in order to give their body time to heal their bodies and reframe their subconscious from negative thinking.
Fidelity in God: An individual cannot live a fulfilled life by simply paying attention only to his or her physical or mental needs. It is imperative to maintain a meaningful and transformative relationship with God.
